01 our philosophy

Architecture is the background of human life. A well-planned background guarantees the quality of life for its users.

The word Teduh, hints at a certain atmosphere of that background where there is sufficient shelter from the extreme elements of nature, such as wind, solar heat, and rain, but allows closure to nature.

Starting from this thought by not ignoring the cultural factors, habits and social context, ideal architecture can be achieved.

Arsitektur adalah latar dari kehidupan manusia. Latar yang terencana dengan baik menjamin kualitas kehidupan penggunanya.
Kata Teduh, mengisyaratkan suatu atmosfer dari latar tersebut di mana terdapat perlindungan yang cukup dari ekstrimnya elemen-elemen alam, seperti angin, panas matahari, dan hujan, namun mengijinkan kedekatan dengan alam itu sendiri.
Berawal dari pemikiran tersebut dengan tidak mengabaikan faktor budaya, kebiasaan dan konteks
sosial, arsitektur yang baik dapat terwujud.

Studio Teduh is...

Danny Vernatha, S.T., M. Arch.

Danny received his Bachelor Degree in Engineering from Petra Christian University - Surabaya at 2013 and Master Degree in Architecture from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology - Taipei at 2016.

To further pursuing his international experience, Danny continued to work at one of the architecture firm in Taipei, and got involved in designing architecture and interior project such as hotel, spa facilities, residential high rise building, headquarters, and RnD facilities.

Continuing his passion in residential and leisure facilities design, Danny decided to open his own firm in Bali with his partner, Samantha.

Samantha was born in Bali, Indonesia in 1991 and received her Bachelor Degree of Engineer from Udayana University - Bali in 2013, then Master of Architecture from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology - Taipei in 2016. Later after recieving her master degree she worked in one of the well-knowned residential architecture firm, and got the chance to involved in several architecture and interior projects such as villa, apartments, private houses, and offices. After that she decided to join her partner, Danny Vernatha, to opened their own studio, Teduh Studio Arsitektur in Bali, to expand her creativity in her home land, Indonesia.
